Once a blog post, team member, project, or testimonial is live, you can still make changes. Webflow’s CMS lets you update content at any time - without breaking anything.
Here’s how to manage your existing entries.
Access the CMS
Log into the Webflow Editor and click the CMS icon in the left-hand panel. You’ll see a list of content types (called Collections). Click the one you want to manage - for example, “Blog Posts.”
You’ll now see a list of all entries in that Collection.
Edit an existing item
Click on the entry you want to change. This will open the content form you saw when it was first created.
You can update text, swap out images, edit dates, and tweak anything else - just like adding a new post.
Once you’re done, click Publish to make your changes live. If you’re not ready to update the live site yet, choose Save as Draft instead.
Unpublish or archive
- To temporarily remove an item from your site without deleting it, unpublish it.
- To keep it in the system but hide it from all lists and search, archive it.
- To permanently delete something, use the delete button - but be careful, there’s no undo.
When to archive instead of delete
If you’re replacing a team member, or hiding an old project, archive it instead of deleting. That way, the content stays stored in Webflow in case you ever want to bring it back.
