All Linford invoices are designed to be clear and easy to read. Whether you’re on a one-off project, monthly retainer, or custom billing plan, each invoice shows exactly what’s included.
Here’s how to read it.
Key sections on every invoice
- Invoice number - useful for reference or finance teams
- Issue date and due date - shows when it was sent and when payment is expected
- Description - a short explanation of what the invoice covers
- Line items - specific charges like design work, hosting, or monthly support
- Subtotal, tax, and total - the final amount, including VAT if applicable
All amounts are listed in GBP unless we’ve agreed otherwise.
Common line items you might see
- Website Design and Build - full project charge for design and development
- Monthly Retainer - ongoing support, content, or management services
- Ad Campaign Management - setup, optimisation, and reporting
- Content Creation - photography, video, or written assets
- Hosting - if you’re using Linford-managed hosting
- Training or Handover - additional sessions outside the main scope
We keep descriptions brief to keep things readable. If you want a detailed explanation, just ask.
Notes and terms
Some invoices include a short note about the work stage or reminder of payment terms. These are usually 7 or 14 days unless we’ve agreed differently. For staged projects, you’ll see milestone details listed clearly.
Need a custom breakdown?
If your finance team needs more detail or prefers invoices split into separate sections, let us know. We can adjust the format before or after sending.
