Keeping Your Site Healthy

A few simple habits that make a big difference.

Websites aren’t “set and forget.” They’re more like gardens — if you leave them too long, things stop working, or worse, start growing in strange directions.

Here’s how to keep yours in good shape — without needing a full-time developer.

Keep content fresh

Update your blog. Swap out old team photos. Remove events once they’ve passed. Fresh content shows people (and search engines) that your business is alive and active.

Check your links

Click around now and then. If a link’s broken or a button leads nowhere, let us know - we’ll fix it fast. This stuff chips away at trust when left unnoticed.

Optimise your images

Large, uncompressed images slow down your site. Before uploading new ones, try to keep them under 500KB. Use .jpg for photos and .png for graphics with transparency.

Stay secure

We’ve set up SSL and site protection. But if you’ve changed passwords, added users, or switched domains — let us know. We’ll make sure nothing’s exposed.

Check in every 6 months

Set a reminder. Have a quick review. What’s changed in your business? Do your services still match what’s listed? Are there any pages collecting dust?

And if you need help

We offer regular maintenance, updates, SEO checks, and design sprints if you want ongoing support. Just ask - we’ll build a plan that fits your pace and budget.

Healthy site = happy visitors.
